“Botanical Skin Works was developed out of necessity” states the President of Botanical Skin Works, Sharon Kinnier. In 1997 she began studying aromatherapy in a desperate attempt to remedy the intense stress she experienced as President of a computer networking company. Through her studies, she began to learn more about the ingredients that were in the skin and body care products she was using. Disturbed by the information she began formulating soaps and lotions using only natural ingredients. The dryness that had plagued her whole adult life soon disappeared as her skin was soothed and nourished by her natural formulation. With both encouragement and pressure from women who had tried her line, she opened Botanical Skin Works in 2001 and began sharing her products with the public. Botanical Skin Works made a decision to go 100% natural because of the evidence against synthetic chemicals, including fragrances, petrochemicals and preservatives. “With Multiple Chemical Sensitivities (MCS) on the rise, we decided against using any synthetics”, states Sharon Kinnier.
